The number of affected services suggests that it’s an infrastructure issue, and the AWS Health Dashboard indeed indicates a significant problem.

“We are investigating increased error rates and latencies for multiple AWS services in the US-EAST-1 Region,” read an excerpt of Amazon’s notice earlier today.

“We can confirm significant error rates for requests made to the DynamoDB endpoint in the US-EAST-1 Region,” read the excerpt of a later update. “We will continue to provide updates as we have more information to share, or by 2:00 AM (PT).”

In any event, we hope this issue doesn’t last too long. Are you noticing any issues with other services? Let us know in the comments below!
