Samsung is continuously integrating Google‘s advanced artificial intelligence tools deeper into its user experience. The latest collaboration brings the creative power of Google’s Nano Banana image generation directly into Samsung’s personalized briefing feature, Now Brief. This integration means Galaxy users can now leverage AI image transformation capabilities without ever leaving their daily news and memory recaps.
For those unfamiliar with the feature, Now Brief debuted with the Galaxy S25 series. The feature functions as a customized end-of-day summary. It often includes a recap of your activities and photo memories. Now, after updating the Personal Data Intelligence application on supported Galaxy devices, users can manually enable “Nano Banana Image Creation” within the Now Brief settings.
Google & Samsung bring Nano Banana image generation to Now Brief daily recaps
Once enabled, Nano Banana operates within the daily Memories card of the Now Brief. At the end of the day, the AI automatically selects an image—often a selfie or a front-facing photo—from the user’s Gallery. Then, it presents a few ready-made, creative prompts alongside that image.
When a user taps one of these suggested prompts, the Gemini app springs into action seamlessly. There, Nano Banana executes the AI transformation, remixing the photo, swapping the background, or changing the style as requested by the prompt. Users can then save, copy, or share the resulting AI-enhanced image instantly.
This move is a big step. After all, Samsung traditionally limited Now Brief integrations almost exclusively to its first-party apps. There was one exception, which is also related to Google’s suite of services: YouTube. The inclusion of Nano Banana embeds Google’s powerful AI functionality directly into Samsung’s core user-facing software.
Users still have full manual control over Nano Banana through the dedicated Gemini app and other features like Galaxy AI’s Drawing Assist. However, having the image generation model available from Now Brief seems convenient and fun.
