The launch of the Razer Raiju V3 Pro is here for US consumers, and it’s a pretty solid option for anyone who doesn’t already own a PS5 Pro controller. Affixed with massive upgrades and plenty of adjustable features, the Raiju V3 Pro is a shoe-in for being the best Pro controller available for PS5, even with Sony’s excellent DualSense Edge on the market.
While the controller is pricey with a cost of $219.99, there are a lot of really nice features that gamers will appreciate, specifically if they play a lot of shooters. Not the least of these is Razer’s implementation of TMR thumbsticks. TMR Thumbsticks are essentially the next evolution of stick drift prevention after Hall Effect sticks. They’re supposed to work better, and the result is you won’t end up with a thumbstick that moves your characters or camera of its own accord. This is a highly inconvenient issue to deal with. So, it’s nice to see Razer doing what it can to help you avoid the problem.
The Razer Raiju V3 Pro launch makes the controller available across multiple retailers
As is usually the case, Razer is making the controller available on its website. So, if you prefer to buy from Razer directly, you can do so. The controller is also available on Amazon, and depending on how far you live from a distribution center, you might even get it the same day or overnight. The controller should also be available from other retailers where gaming peripherals are sold.
While the TMR thumbsticks are one of the main reasons to buy this controller, there are several other reasons why any gamer who plays shooters should consider it. The HyperTriggers are one of the reasons. Having spent a few weeks playing with the controller, these feel like a mouse click, and they work exceptionally well in games like Black Ops 7. The HyperTriggers could mean a huge advantage at certain moments as well, thanks to that much faster trigger pull.
The Raiju V3 Pro also has remappable back buttons. This is pretty standard for a pro controller, but what some don’t allow is the ability to remove them. Razer makes it possible to take these back buttons off, although you do need to use a tool that comes with the controller to do so. All of these features are great, but what’s really likely to draw you in is the battery life. For a pro controller that’s this good on PS5, you won’t have to worry about battery life as much. This will last way longer than the DualSense Edge or SCUF Reflex controllers, and that right there is reason enough to pick one up.
